ZENITH introduces the DEFY Extreme Chroma, a limited-edition chronograph that fully expresses the brand’s profound technical expertise combined with a bold and daring design philosophy. This pair of exceptional timepieces marks the return of the acclaimed “Chroma” concept, which previously captivated collectors, now elevated within the even more robust and powerful DEFY Extreme case. Each edition is produced in a limited run of just 100 pieces worldwide.
Serving as a platform for creative expression, ZENITH uses colour as its primary visual language to tell the story of a high-frequency chronograph capable of measuring time to 1/100th of a second—one of the most advanced mechanical achievements in contemporary watchmaking.
Housed in a 45-millimetre case, the DEFY Extreme Chroma showcases strong geometric lines through a dynamic combination of titanium and ceramic. Both editions are engineered to withstand extreme conditions, offering water resistance up to 20 ATM, making them as resilient as they are visually striking.
At the heart of the watch lies a special version of the El Primero 9004 calibre, distinguished by its bridges coated in a rainbow-hued PVD finish. Partially revealed through an openworked black or white dial, the movement is complemented by markers, inscriptions, and hands designed to harmonize with the chromatic palette of the mechanism, ensuring that each timepiece possesses a unique colour composition.
This striking play of colour continues onto the caseback through the brand’s signature star-shaped rotor.
